Building Media Uniting Europe

Comecon Media GmbH (CM) has targeted the digital and traditional media markets in central and eastern Europe and in the Commonwealth of Independent States as regions of growth and expansion.

The company has been founded by Joachim O. Weidemann, a German business journalist and media manager, having gathered media experienced in different countries and management positions in Germany and Central and Eastern Europe.

Comecon Media wants to build brigdes between Western and Eastern media markets, matching the interest of shareholders and smoothening their market entry, or expansion.

Comecon Media helps to build, or change, editorial and commercial media management and processes, takes assignments for interim management and supports the co-operative integration of local companies into national or international mother holdings. CM might also act as a micro-investor in selected internet start-ups.

Comecon Media links and internationalizes Internet vortals for news, services, communities, e-commerce, radio und video by uniting teams across borders. We think that international operations need to follow the idea of decentralised collaboration networks -- similar to the creators of Wikipedia. A project-oriented approach, creating a network of experts that come together, solve the problem and consequently focus on its successful and sustainable implementation.
